HOW ARE THE 'BILL COSBY SHOW' KIDS DOING?

Remember the good old 'Cosby show'. The very entertaining family sitcom of the 70's and 80's.I remember looking forward to the times it was aired and i also enjoyed watching the various episodes with my family. Lets say it was a 'Family Time' program. Meet the grown Cosby kids below.

Lisa Bonet who acted as Denise Huxtable is now 45 with 22 year old daughter Zoe Kravitz. She is still as beautiful as she was 2 decades ago.

Malcolm- Jamal Warner who acted as Theo Huxtable is currently starring as Dr. Alex Reed on the new BET sitcom Reed Between the Lines.

Templestt Bledsoe who acted as Vennesa Huxtable  received a degree in finance from New York University and enjoys music. She has been in a long-term relationship for sixteen years with actor Darryl M. Bell, who co-starred in the NBC TV comedy A Different World, a spinoff of The Cosby Show.

And Keshia Knight Pulliam who acted as Rudy Huxtable  a celebrity version of Fear Factor in September 2002.   In 2005, she played Darnelle in Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah. In 2008, she joined the cast of Tyler Perry's House of Payne as Miranda, the new wife of Calvin Payne. The role earned her the 2009 and 2010 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. In 2009, she portrayed "Candy" in the film Madea Goes To Jail.
In 2011, commenting on the fact that only white actors had won Golden Globe Awards that year, she said:
I think that there is definitely work to be done. It can always be more diverse. We live in a very multicultural and global society. More needs to be done to increase the representation of all people and really show the world for what it is. It’s not just one color.

Rudy Huxtable was my favourite character, well probably because i saw a lot of myself(child) in her. Very curious, adorable and fun loving.

HTPB readers let's know your favourite 'Bill Cosby' show character.

IGP Abubakar Releases Pre-Wedding Pictures!

Here are their pre-wedding pics....congrats to them!

Interview with Omotola Jolade Ekeinde, the 3 IN 1 Maestro.....Worker, Lover, Mother.

This is a must read for all, especially working class women who have not found a way to strike a balance between family and work. Omotola does it with efforts, but successfully.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, aka ‘Omosexy’, is the queen of Nollywood. She’s appeared in more than 300 films, pulls in 150 million viewers for her reality-television show and has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Her most recent film is Last Flight to Abuja an when she sat next to Steven Spielberg at a Time magazine dinner earlier this year he didn’t know her name. Yet Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was attending that dinner because, like him, she had been honoured in Time’s 2013 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Alongside Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama and BeyoncĂ©. The star of more than 300 films, Omotola – or “Omosexy”, as she is known to her legions of fans – is bigger across the African diaspora than Halle Berry.

Her reality-television show, Omotola: The Real Me, pulls in more viewers than Oprah’s and Tyra’s at their peak, combined, and she is the first African celebrity ever to amass more than one million Facebook “likes”.Omotola is one of the biggest stars in Nollywood, the low-budget, high-output Nigerian film industry that churns out more English-language films than Hollywood or Bollywood (1,000-2,000 a year). Some have cinematic releases, but most are for the straight-to-video market.

She reveals that “Omosexy” is a nickname given to her by her husband, an airline pilot.“He bought me a car back in 2009, and that was the plate number,” she recalls, speaking with kinetic, girlish excitement, rattling off sentences in fast, extended flurries.
“All my cars have special plate numbers, like Omotola 1.” When I ask how many cars she has, she laughs again, with embarrassment. “A few.” When she first saw her personalised license plate she was horrified. “I thought, ‘Oh no!’ It sounded cocky.
As if I was telling everybody, ‘I’m sexy!’ Y’know-wha-I-mean?” She punctuates her sentences with this phrase, which she reels off as a single word.

Children With Adult Achievements

I do get excited when i come across kids that do extraordinary things; things believed to be done by only adults. It only confirms my believes that kids can also achieve great things.

1.  Guru Vishnu Mathivanan

Guru Vishnu Mathivanan is an eco hero and has done environmental activities from his age of four. He has given awareness speech about global warming with his hand made charts, drawings, ppts etc. more than one hour continuously and insisting tree plantation wherever he goes. He has traveled many places, schools and colleges to deliver his speech. He has received many awards and rewards for his environmental activities. On my every birthday he gifts me a wonderful sapling. On my view he is my hero and I too follow his instructions and do environmental works with him. Guru's aim is to make the world full of peace, green and clean.

Guru has spoken to more than 200000 people including students and donated and planted more than 50000 saplings to all. He has done his environmental activities in his school holidays and on important days like Earth day etc. in order to bring the awareness to all.

EDUTAINMENT OF THE WEEK: GIFTED HANDS.

'Gifted Hands' , Ben Carson.

This is an amazing inspirational biography drama of Dr. Ben Carson that reveals him going against all odds to achieve great things. Dr. Ben Carson surpasses what some expect from him being fatherless, minority, wrong-neighborhood, disadvantaged sort of kid that is expected to become a burden on society, not a Johns Hopkins pediatric neurosurgery specialist.  As i watched this movie, thoughts of the possibilities of my dreams flooded my mind and i was encouraged to hold on to my dreams and live them.

For Children

The flow of the movie is a great one for children with the usual fairy tale ending as it transits from rejection to acceptance, from under privileged to privileged, hopelessness to hopefulness, and failure to success, discrimination to celebration. It reveals the peculiar struggles and challenges that he faced and how he can overcame them by trusting in God, believing in himself, listening to and trusting his mum, studying hard and holding on to what fascinates and interests him which is the 'human brain'.

In this movie children will:

Woman Buys 3-Day-Old Baby For N1.2m

A middle-aged woman believed to be from Cameroon, Evelyn Atemkeng, was arrested yesterday in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, by men of the Nigeria Immigration Service for allegedly buying a three day old baby at the cost of N1.2 million.

Mrs Atemkeng accompanied by her aged mother, Anastasia Fambong, was said to have bought the baby boy from a matron of a clinic in Delta State. Commander of the Cross River State Command, Mr Samuel Ichoi, said his men accosted the lady while she was boarding a ship to Cameroon. “The lady came from Cameron to Nigeria on Friday without any sign of pregnancy but she was found to be carrying a baby and when my men examined her there are no signs that she just gave birth. So, she and the baby were apprehended,” he said.

11 Year Old Girl Saves Family From Fire.

A California girl saved her siblings from their burning home after she had a gut feeling that danger was imminent.

Many people claim to have experienced premonitions — those eerie, foreboding feelings that something unpleasant is about to happen. They can run from the mundane (knowing who's calling before answering the phone) to the disastrous (dreaming that a loved one will pass away). And sometimes they’re simply uneasy feelings that bad luck is on the horizon.

That’s exactly what 11-year-old Maria Elias of McFarland, California, experienced when she went to bed on Saturday night. "I couldn't go to sleep because I knew something was going to happen,"

Vaccine to Prevent your Children From Becoming Homosexuals.

Inoculate your children NOW!

"A former homosexual who has carried on an effective ministry for five years among homosexuals reported, 'I have counseled over three hundred homosexuals and have yet to find one that enjoyed a warm love relationship with his father.'"

Introduction:
1.  How can I prevent my children from becoming homosexual?
a.  There is a "vaccination" for homosexuality!
b.  But first, you must realize that no one is born homosexual and being homosexual is a moral choice.
c.  "How many psychologists does it take to change a light bulb? The answer: Only one, but the light bulb has to really want to change. Many pastors, like Carl, find this to be true with homosexuals. The number one criterion for the success in crisis intervention is the desire of the homosexual person to change. Without that, all the good intentions and techniques by the counselor will have little effect. That desire to rebuild from ground up evidently was missing in Ted." (J. D. Berkley, Called into crisis, 1989, Vol. 18, p 103)

2.         Less than 1% are homosexual!
a.       A new Statistics Canada health survey is the first to effort to measure the sexual orientation of the population.
b.       According to figures from the Canadian Community Health Survey, released Tuesday June 15, 2004, one per cent of Canadians say they are homosexual.
c.        The Canadian Community Health Survey, is based on information collected from 135,000 people and is considered to be extremely accurate.
d.       Homosexual activists continue to use the 10% figure, even though they know is as invalid as it is a deliberate fraudulent.

3.         Vaccination for homosexuality? YES!

14 Reasons why Gay Marriage is an Abomination Before God And Man

Reasons why it is wrong to legalize gay marriage.

1.    Some countries say they must legalize gay marriage because the UN has said so. The UN doesn’t have the right to determine human rights because this would infringe upon the sovereignty of other countries. Therefore, just because the UN wants to grant special status to homosexuals, doesn’t mean Nigeria must also. Illegalizing gay marriage, therefore, is a choice the Liberal government of Nigeria has made.

2.      Marriage is not an “inalienable right”, nor is it a “benefit right”. Marriage has always been a discriminatory institution. The proof of this is the fact that brothers and sisters or cousins are forbidden to marry. So forbidding homosexuals from marrying is also constitutional. What is even more puzzling is that the prohibition against homosexuals and siblings/cousins/incest originated with Christians strictly on moral grounds found in the Bible. If two heterosexual consenting cousins can be discriminated against and be prevented from marrying, then so too can homosexuals.

3.  Government does not have the right to redefine marriage, simply because it recognized marriage at confederacy and it deserved the protection from the state. The Fathers of confederacy recognized that marriage already existed and it deserved to be protected and they merely supplied the definition that already existed. Since the government issues birth certificates, it does not have the right to determine what a human is by virtue of issuing birth certificates. If parliament redefines marriage, they may be in “patent violation” by using the same trade name “Marriage” with different ingredients! America doesn’t hold the patent to Marriage, it is merely operating under a “trade license” granted us from a higher power. (God) For America to change the definition of marriage, is like manufacturing cans labeled “Coke” under trade license, but when you drink it, it tastes like coffee. Remember, the Obama ran for the office of president, not the office of God. He has no right to change the definition of marriage.

Letter to Save Ese Walter and Her Written Response to Critics.

Hi HTPB readers,

Below is an open letter from me to Ese Walter and her response to critics of the article she posted detailing her affair with a Pastor Biodun of COZA. She may be unreachable to us but our words here may just find their way to her. Do send her your sincere encouragement through this medium. She needs the show of love and support to help her through this unstable times( since she has no congregation to clap and shout at nothing said).

Some of us may totally not agree with her methods, also her motives in all of this and her claim of abuse but what I’m certain of is that if all that scandal really happened, then the society at large has a role to play.

According to her, all that happened spanned over months and it's impossible to express all the details in a few paragraphs. I’m implying there are lots of unexpressed feelings and actions concerning this saga. And right now she may really feel alone, dejected and maybe sad about people's reactions to all of these. Ese is hurt and needs to heal, we might not all be able to help her but I’m certain that her parents, family and close relations can. She needs to talk to them, they need to speak the word of God to her, comfort her and reassure her of God’s unfailing love. This is the time for her parents and family to step in regardless of what they feel, it’s a time to reach out and listen to the unsaid words, and protect her.

This is what family is all about: unconditional love. It’s usually a relief when people that care are around one in trying times. Imagine the spotlights are on you and yet the world isn’t seeing you just the way you planned to be seen. I really hope Ese was prepared for the heavy criticism she has received. Have a great week all.

Dear Ese,
Going through the article written by you and the series of events and responses that has followed, I am led to believe things have not panned out the way you thought it would.

I am of the opinion that at this point, you may have fallen more into rejection and bitterness not just towards the Pastor (who has refused to give any direct response until he his done consulting and has a "robust" reply) but also towards Nigerians whom you thought would understand. The reason for my opinion is anchored on your decision to delete your social network accounts that you must have used for some years now because of pressures from same people you thought would understand(you are probably planning to go into hibernation).

My Kids' Narrow Escape from the 'TEDDY BEAR' .

It is a nice looking movie cover with picture of a teddy and a child and I thought to myself that I had another movie for my kids to watch. The movie was titled, "TED". It was at night and I played the movie for my kids and on second thoughts I asked them to go to bed as it was late and mentioned to them that they would watch the movie the next day.

So with my kids off to bed and their dad yet to return home from work, the movie continued to play. There was a boy who had no friends and was alone. During the Christmas holiday his parents got him a teddy bear as a gift. Eventually he got a companion; he talked and played with the lifeless teddy. They got so close that one night he made a wish for the teddy to come alive.

Lo and behold as he woke up the teddy was alive and from that day his life changed forever from having no friends to being popular with news and interviews of a child living with a life teddy bear. And I thought ‘what a fairy tale with a happy ending’.  As he grew, I suppose the teddy bear grew too as what came afterwards was shocking to me and it was a drastic turn from an innocent child friendly movie to a corrupt one(an adult only movie).

What Ese Walters really wants from Pastor Biodun of COZA

The focus of this article is Ese Walters(formerly of COZA), a young lady of respectable upbringing whose parents(if alive) would probably be sad at the turn of events in their daughter's life at the moment while being disappointed in the "Church".

I am lost for words at the recent scandal that has enveloped COZA and hence the Church in Nigeria. I have read the Ese's story and if true, it has only confirmed my disposition towards other Christians(Pastors inclusive) which is that we are all perfect in Christ and no man on his own is Super. This is why the Bible advises us to "flee" all appearances of Evil. That means evil has various appearances so it can come as Boko Haram(viscous) and it can come as Ese (adorable) to the Pastor and vice versa.

This article is not meant to repost the story that I am certain a lot of you have read on various sites and blogs since it was let out by the supposedly "innocent lady" who claims to have a history of rebellion against rules and authority. My aim here is to have a look at the intentions of the Lady Ese by analyzing the major actions from her part and the possible reasons why she took the actions including the most recent which is revealing what she claims happened between her and the Pastor. This article does not intend to justify the actions of the Pastor if he did all Ese has claimed but to point out how things could have happened differently. Since the Pastor has not come out publicly to deny or accept the story, it will be immature to focus on him for now as this might end up being a case of mud slinging. We are also focusing on Ese because she is young and we want other young ladies to learn and know how to handle themselves in the such scenarios( Pastor or No Pastor).

My question is; What was on Ese's mind when all these things she claimed happened was happening and what is really on her mind now that she has let the cat out of the bag?

WHAT WAS ON ESE'S MIND IN THE ROOM WHEN PASTOR BIODUN WAS MAKING ADVANCES AT HER?

Her Claim:

This was a bit awkward for me and I froze for a moment as I asked why. He said he had told me to feel free with him and loosen up. I found myself strolling to sit on his laps. At that moment, I felt like a little girl who was experiencing something her mind couldn’t fathom. He asked me to kiss him and all I could think about was seeing him preach on the pulpit back in COZA Abuja, Nigeria, which was my home church.

Or Maybe:
  • O God help me. My heart wants to leave but my heart is so weak. I am enjoying his company.
  • I got him finally
  • Pastor! What are you doing?
  • I knew you cant resist me for long
  • God help me get out of here.
  • (smiles like Delilah) It is working.

WHAT WAS ON ESE'S MIND AS SHE WENT BACK TO THE PASTOR'S HOTEL FOR 7 DAYS?

Her Claim:
I wasn’t Molested but I felt trapped in this affair. It’s possible I was in some trance like state and didn’t know it but I just was so afraid that I couldn’t say or think otherwise.

How to Help Teens Make Responsible Choices.

How will your teen handle peer pressure to drink, smoke, have sex, or get in a fight? Talk with your teen about ways to handle risky situations to prepare him or her to make safer choices. To feel comfortable talking openly with you, your teen needs to know that you will not punish him or her for being honest.

Throughout their teenage years, your child will be confronted with many difficult situations where choosing to make a safe and healthy decision may not be the easiest – or most obvious – thing to do. Peer pressure may factor heavily into the decision making process regarding serious issues such as drinking alcohol at parties, trying drugs, having sexual relationships, joining gangs, etc.

As a parent, being present to protect your teen from situations that could potentially hurt him or her will always be an intense urge that often cannot be realistically fulfilled. As your child grows older, parenting becomes less about control and more about offering guidance. You can help support your teen in making responsible decisions by providing a solid foundation built upon sharing your time, experience, values, trust, and love.

OBSERVATIONS

  • It is normal for teens to challenge their parents' values, beliefs, and practices as a way to test parents and assert their independence.
  • Teens need support and guidance from their parents to make important decisions about their future.
  • The more controlling parents are, the more rebellious teens are likely to become.

TIPS FOR PARENTS

Whenever your teen comes to talk to you regarding a decision he or she is currently facing, make the most out of the opportunity!

Yemi Sax's Wife Pregnant before Marriage?

They just got married in July so we don't need a doctor\s report to know "things" must have happened before the wedding.

I am happy for them but that is not how we role at HTPB. We encourage our women to keep themselves till after the wedding. Let him marry you because he loves you and not because you are pregnant for him. Like a joke i heard, not all marriage proposals start with "will you marry me." Some start with. "i am pregnant."

Seriously, is this a 1 month old baby bump?

THE CNN CO-WORKERS LOVE STORY(WITH PICTURES)

In a more in-depth chat about their wedding, CNN anchor Isha Sesay and executive editor of The CNN Freedom Project Leif Coorlim described their wedding as “fun, relaxed, romantic, elegant and unconventional”. Though they met in 2008 after working on a CNN series together in Atlanta, they were only friends till 2011 when Isha Sesay asked him out for a drink, and then they began dating.

Isha says her favorite thing about her husband is his “kindness.” She explains: “He has an extraordinarily large heart, and every day he does something that impresses me and makes me want to be a better person. He’s truly a special soul.”
For Leif, the best thing about Isha is how outgoing she is. “We can’t take 10 steps in the building without her stopping to talk to somebody. She’s best friends with her dry cleaner, waiters in the restaurant down the road, even her dentist. It’s that kind of open-heartedness, that I truly am in awe of and love about her,” he said.

This is what the beautiful new wife had to say; "We’d been planning this as an outdoor wedding for eight months. It was supposed to be outside in the Mandarin’s English Gardens, but thanks to an early heads up about bad weather from CNN meteorologist Jen Delgado, we decided just last Wednesday to move the entire event indoors! She was our guardian angel — we will forever be grateful to her! Given the quick turnaround, we gave the decorator and florist Britt Wood complete design freedom. So we had no idea what he would do with the ceremony space and were completely blown away by how he transformed the ballroom. It was breathtaking.

Royal Baby of England in Two New Family Portraits

Royal-baby fever is about to flare up again, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released two new family photos to the public on Monday.

The clear star of the photographs, taken by Kate Middleton's father, Michael Middleton, is His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, ready for his close-up at just a few weeks old. In the pics, new mom Middleton donning the $79 Jolene dress in fuchsia by maternity wear maker Seraphine holds the swaddled infant while sitting and standing alongside husband Prince William, who's casually dressed in jeans and a button-down shirt with rolled-up sleeves.

The world first glimpsed Prince George on July 23, when he appeared with his mom and dad outside of St. Mary's Hospital in London, also wrapped in a white blanket. That was just a day after his birth at the hospital's Lindo Wing, where swarms of curious fans and story-hungry reporters and photographers were camped out to greet them, making for one of the most scrutinized deliveries in modern history.

The royals dealt with the attention gracefully, naturally, with Prince William telling CNN’s Max Foster just this week that he had been all too pleased to present his newborn to eager onlookers.

"I think I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine, about George, that really, we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him," he said during the interview, which took place at Kensington Palace. "As any new parent knows, you're only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he’s the best looking or the best everything."

The newest images were snapped in early August in the garden of the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. In one shot, mom, dad, and baby are joined by Lupo, their cocker spaniel, and the Middletons' retriever, Tilly.

How to Ensure Your Children Have a Productive School Year.

As the holidays end in September, we tend to begin the school year with blank notebooks, pages fresh and clean. Backpacks are free of crumbs and leaked box drinks. Children wake up early in anticipation. We try to get to school a bit before the morning bell and start the year off on the right track. But slowly the familiar patterns start to appear. The kids are going to sleep way past bedtime, waking up with just a few moments to spare. A child leaves his notebook in school and must scramble to find a friend whose fax machine is working. Nights spent struggling over homework for hours, studying for tests left for the last minute, assignments forgotten, cliques and social politics – it feels as if we are going backwards instead of forward.

How can we make this year different from all the others? How can we take our hopes and wishes for positive change and turn them into a reality? Transition between summer and school can be difficult for children – and for parents. Any change in life can bring nervousness, worry, and irritability. Children often have a hard time adjusting to new situations, unfamiliar teachers, and the more rigid schedule needed during the school year. When feeling overwhelmed, our kids may express their emotions through becoming argumentative, fighting more often with siblings, or withdrawing into themselves. And parents can find it difficult to keep calm and not lose themselves in anger when things don't go right.

Instead of just accepting that this is the way our home is meant to be, let us think about reachable goals that we can work on. When we create a plan, we can do away with unnecessary failures and strive to help our children feel and be more successful.

5 Goals to Help Parents When School Resumes.

1. Keep Your Eyes Open
Sometimes we notice that something does not feel right with a child but we get distracted. We are all very busy, it’s true. We have great pressures and responsibilities pulling us in too many directions. The child who seems a little ‘off’, not himself, snappy or more quiet than usual is trying to tell us something. But it is easy to tuck this information away in a back pocket and only realize that something is wrong when a crisis occurs. We then think back and recognize that the signs were there, we were just too preoccupied to pay attention.

WILL SMITH, A PROUD FATHER OF JADEN SMITH?

"Married since 1997, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith have recently become famous stage parents. Their two children, Jaden (15) and Willow (13) have achieved stardom beyond just their off-spring status through high-profile film roles (Jaden in The Next Karate Kid) and music careers (Willow’s “Whip My Hair” single in 2010). Both parents have been heavily involved in their children’s careers, including acting as producers on projects (Smith produced The Next Karate Kid) and using their celebrity status to promote their children (Pinkett-Smith announced Willow’s impending album release during a talk show appearance).

While Hollywood is littered with famous off-springs (the Beckhams, the Jolie-Pitts, Suri Cruise), Smith and Pinkett-Smith have seamlessly created a family brand that incorporates their children’s unique careers with their own. Jaden and Willow’s success can be located in Will Smith’s own family friendly, but also, at times, incredibly juvenile image. Although voted “Hollywood’s Most Valuable Actor” by Forbes magazine in 2009, Will Smith has not achieved the same success in the 2000s as he did in the 1990s when portraying young, juvenile characters (Independence Day, Men in Black, Wild Wild West). While his inability to grow into a more mature image has (arguably) impacted negatively on his own stardom, it has positively influenced his children’s stardom, allowing Smith to pass on his childlike image to his children.

In a joint interview,  Will was asked if Jaden could have been a dentist instead of an actor, Will responded

THE STORY OF A HARDWORKING FATHER (MIKE ADENUGA) AND HIS CHILDREN.

Worth a head-spinning $4.3 billion, Otunba (Dr.) Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga (Jnr) is the 2nd richest man in Nigeria, according to Forbes. That makes him the richest Yoruba on earth.

This reclusive billionaire has one rule that no one can change: he will only get across to you when there is the need for it, but you cannot get across to him. And when he wants to get across to you, he does everything possible to track you down. Nobody in his office gets letters or invitation cards without earlier notice irrespective of where they originated from. You just can’t reach him, and if you work for a courier company, it is nearly-impossible for you to deliver a package to his office. You feel the swagger? That was just an intro, let’s roll!

Although his roots are in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, he was born in Ibadan, Oyo State on 29thApril, 1953.The billionaire is a descendant of Pariola, a very wealthy and influential female trader born in the mid-19th century. Apart from being the ancestor of the Adenugas, Pariola would also produce the Adetonas, the family of the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

Upon his birth, his father was so overjoyed at having another son that he named him after himself. His elder brother, Demola explained that he was not given the name because as at the time of his birth, the fad was to bear purely Nigerian names. Otunba was the last child so his father took the opportunity to name him after himself. He would later die in 1993 in a car accident and his son did a superlative re-burial for him in 2005 with one of the most expensive coffins on earth.

Five-year-old girl abducted at Redemption Camp

Hello HTPB readers. this is sad news. I pray this girl is found and she returns home unhurt. Amen. God will teach us to keep our little ones away from harm while we also entrust him with their safe keeping beyond our powers and confines.

The abduction of a five-year-old girl, Oluwaseun Ogungbemile, at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has thrown her parents into panic. It was learnt that the girl, in company with her parents, had gone to the camp at Kilometre 46 on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, to attend the one-week annual convention of the church that ended on Sunday.

We learnt that the girl, who is the youngest child of her parents, was last seen playing with two of her cousins on Friday, August 9, 2013. The victim’s aunt, Omotade Odunowo, told our correspondent that the matter had been reported to the police. She said, “She (Oluwaseun) was staying at a rented chalet in the camp along with her parents. Around 10am on that day, she was seen with two of her younger cousins, who are between the ages of two and three.

“After sometime, we did not see her again. Due to the young ages of the little children who were with her at the time of her disappearance, we have not been able to know what happened exactly.”
Odunowo said all efforts to trace the victim’s whereabouts proved abortive and the family believed that she had been abducted.

She said the family had searched every nook and cranny of the camp and reported to the relevant authorities in RCCG, all to no avail. She added that no one had called the family to demand a ransom.
Odunowo said, “We have been traumatised since then and cannot wait for the safe return of our daughter back home. We shall therefore be extremely grateful to receive any information that may lead to our reunion with Oluwaseun. She is adorable, smart and talks a lot.”

She said the girl’s parents had not been alright since the incident. She said the mother had refused to go back to work since her daughter went missing. She said, “Oluwaseun’s mother has not left the Redemption Camp since the incident occurred. She is still hoping that the person that took her away would bring her back.”

When contacted on the telephone, the state police  command’s Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident to our correspondent, adding that the matter was being investigated at the Redemption Camp Police Station.  “The parents of the victim said they came to the camp with eight children and one of them had gone missing. We have swung into action and we want to assure the family that the little girl will be found,” he said.

A security official at the church, who refused to identify himself, said the matter had been reported to the police. He however refused to disclose further information, adding that it was not the wish of the church that the news of the abduction be leaked to members of the public.

Gospel Superstar Deitrick Haddon Remarries for the Second Time; Talks Candidly About His Past

This article is not for us to judge this couple or the people they are in relationships with. Part of our goals at HTPB is providing real stories of romance, relationships and marriages so we all can learn from the good and avoid the bad. I am a fan of Deitrick Haddon(Don't wanna let you go, Love him like I do) and I have enjoyed some Damita Haddon songs too(My heart belongs to you comes to mind). They were a force together as far as we could see but mistakes were made. I recommend that every couple should always find time to pray together and keep God in the circle.

Deitrick Haddon, star of Oxygen's upcoming "Preachers of L.A." reality show and successful gospel artist, remarried last Saturday to Dominique Mctyer, the mother of his one-year-old daughter, which now makes for his second marriage after divorcing from his gospel singer ex-wife of 15 years, Damita Haddon, in 2011.

Haddon went public with his engagement in January, four months after announcing his divorce was finalized in what was a year-long process. Before his first marriage was legally dissolved, Haddon pastored a church that he took over from his father, but was later shunned by members because they did not agree with his divorce and relationship choices.

THE STORY OF BENNY HINN'S DIVORCE AND REUNION.

Malachi 2:16 says God hates divorce. But he certainly loves forgiveness and reconciliation--something Benny Hinn and his wife Suzanne, who divorced in 2011, experienced Sunday, March 3.
Wedding bells rang once again for the high-profile evangelist and his wife.

They wed for the second time at the Holy Land Experience Church, in Orlando, Fla.
“Those who attended left deeply moved, saying that they would never be the same again,” reads a statement on BennyHinn.org.  “The presence of the Holy Spirit was rich from start to finish. The ceremony was flawless, beautiful and heavenly!”

Charisma publisher, Steve Strang, who was among the leaders in attendance at Sunday’s two-hour nuptials, reported that, “all eyes were on the bride and groom in a rather traditional ceremony, mixed with plenty of praise and worship.”

Noted leaders in the audience were Morris Cerullo, Marilyn Hickey, Marcus and Joni Lamb, Cindy Jacobs and Riva Tims.

Strang also shared a moving story Evangelist Hinn told the audience. A year and a half ago, his oldest grandson Theo Koulianos, who was six at the time, asked his grandfather on Thanksgiving day if he would be getting back together with "Nana."  Young Theo said he was praying that Jesus would make that happen. "God answered that little boy’s prayer," Hinn told the cheering crowd.

The news first broke in 2010 that Hinn's wife of 30 years had filed for divorce on February 1, citing irreconcilable differences. In August 2010, a broken Hinn admitted to viewers of his much-watched “This Is Your Day” program, “I've made mistakes because I wasn't the perfect husband and the perfect dad because I was always gone traveling the world. “

He continued, "That's probably what broke the whole thing up," and compelled viewers not to make the same mistake he did and "neglect your family." But it was later revealed, in June 2012, that Mrs. Hinn’s prescription drug abuse was actually what led to the demise of the union.
"Suzanne started taking certain prescription medications to help her cope with some of her personal struggles. She became dependent on those for nearly 15 years, and those medications made her behave erratically at times," Hinn shared in a message on his website.

"As her husband, I did not know the extent of her reliance on these medications, nor did I fully understand just how much harm they were causing to her, physically and emotionally."
Hinn further explained, "The truth of the matter is that Suzanne filed for divorce because she was in a deep emotional and physical crisis that affected her in such a way that caused her to make a decision she now regrets. And although it was, without question, the most agonizing two and a half years of my life, the end of our marriage most certainly woke me up, and the Lord used it to show me -- as a man of God and as a man -- that I cannot function properly without my wife and family."

Now that those turbulent times are behind the two, the newlyweds are starting over fresh, and feeling thankful. The couple released a joint statement and said, “To all of our partners and friends, we love you with all our hearts. Thank you. You are the greatest! To our precious Jesus belongs all glory, all honor, and all the praise forever, amen.”

ABOUT BENNY HINN
Benny Hinn was born Toufik Benedictus Hinn in the coastal city of Jaffa in Israel in 1952. He was one of eight children born to an Armenian mother and a Greek father. The family was Greek Orthodox. In 1968, they emigrated to Canada settling in Toronto and Benny, who by this time was a young teenager, began attending Georges Vanier High school, north of Toronto.

While at school, Benny was introduced to prayer meetings and teaching of the Gospel. Benny eventually became a Born Again Christian, despite concerns and initial opposition of his family. When he was 21, he attended a healing service in Pittsburgh headlined by evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman. She would become a major influence on his life, so much so, that he emulates her style to this day.

Pastor Benny Hinn as a young pastor.

Benny Hinn began his healing ministry in Toronto by hosting his own evangelical program on local television. His success in Canada inspired him to travel with his healing missions. In Orlando, Florida he met and married Suzanne, the daughter of a local pastor and it was there that Benny Hinn began to build his evangelical empire.

Today he is known as Pastor Benny . Without doubt he is one of the best known televangelists in the world. Each year he travels the world conducting miracle healing crusades.

He produces a daily television show called "This is Your Day" from his studios based in California and has written several books about his life and ministry.

Benny Hinn is a proponent of the Word of Faith movement. As is implied by the name the supporters believe that faith works as a mighty power or force. That it is through faith you can obtain anything you want – such as health, wealth, or any form of personal success. However, this force is only released through your faith.

Edo State primary school teacher cannot read her own certificate.

A drama unfolded during the verification exercise of primary school teachers’ certificates in Edo State on Tuesday as one of the teachers in the state, Mrs. Augusta Odemwingie, was unable to read a sworn affidavit she tendered as part of her credentials.

Mrs. Odemwingie teaches at Asologun Primary School, Ikpoba Okha local government area of Benin City, Governor Adams Oshiomhole, who paid an unscheduled visit to the State Staff Training Centre venue of the exercise was appalled that a teacher could not read, saying “if you can’t read, what do you teach the pupils? What do you write on the board?”

The Chairman of the state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comrade Patrick Ikosimi, who was also at the screening to monitor the exercise, said the woman’s failure was “an embarrassment to the education system at large.”

On arrival at the centre, the governor took time to peruse some of the teachers’ credentials and documents presented.

When Mrs. Odenwingie took her turn during the exercise, the governor who listened to her defence asked her to read the affidavit she presented.

She stuttered and read the affidavit as if a kindergarten was learning to read, to the shocking amusement of everybody around.
