Lagos Banker Explains Why She Nearly Cuts Off Husband's Manhood

There is so much wrong with the mindset of these couple as regards what marriage is all about. They need some serious spiritual mentoring and counseling. As you read their story, please say a prayer for them and other couples going through a turbulent marriage.

Thirty-one-year-old banker, Bimbo Daniju, who was accused of using a kitchen knife to cut her husband’s penis at Surulere area of Lagos, has refuted the accusation. She said she was compelled to hold her husband’s manhood to escape his beating.

Her husband, Lekan, who lost his job with a Lagos insurance company in 2013, had accused his wife of three years of using a kitchen knife to cut his penis after a disagreement they had on December 16, 2013. The deep cut on Lekan’s manhood now threatens his procreational ability.

One would have thought the cause of disagreement between the couple had to do with infidelity. But when contacted,  Bimbo gave a version of the story which totally contrasted with the allegation by Lekan, who  said his wife had used a kitchen knife to cut his penis while he slept after their disagreement. The banker, who sounded gentle over the phone, explained that her husband was being economical with the truth.

She said, “Please, kindly judge this by yourself. As a pregnant woman, will I willingly attempt to cut off my husband’s penis? I ordinarily would not have said anything. I did not realise this will escalate to this stage. The case is being handled by my lawyer at the moment. “My husband is not a hot-tempered man but he gets angry once in a while. He lied that he washes my clothes. He only did that once or twice when I was ill. We had a disagreement that day and he beat me up. My mother came to the house and took away our son.

“Without telling anybody, I went to my hospital and was treated. I did not tell him. But when I got home, he continued to harass me. He said I must ensure his son was returned to the house. “I was so tired and I went to sleep. But in the middle of the night, he woke me up and asked me again to produce his son. We started fighting and he was beating me. In order to escape his beating, I had to hold his penis. I wanted him to leave me alone. I held on to it until I had a chance to escape.” Bimbo said it was a lie that he chased Lekan down the street or dropped his certificate on the street during a fight. “Please ask him, which certificate is he even talking about? When I married my husband, he told me he graduated from the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, but that he had an accident some time ago, in which his certificates were burnt,” she said.

She said when she went to the police station after their last fight, the officer who heard their case at the station said the wound looked like a knife wound, saying that was why Lekan changed his story that she used knife on him. Bimbo insisted she loved her husband and never for once used the fact that he did not have a job to react to him at home. “When I married him, he did not have a job. He said he was working on a CD and all the money I made, I spent on him.”

A Wife Gives Reasons Why She Is Thankful For Her Husband.

During a message in church where we are reminded of why it’s important to give thanks, I find myself thinking about the things and people in my life that I am thankful for.  I am pretty good at expressing gratitude. I always have been, and I thank my mom for that. I could go on and on, telling you all about my wonderful kids, my awesome friends, and the hundred other things I’m thankful for. But, instead, I am going to share why I am thankful for my husband.

So often we can focus on the negative in our relationships.  Maybe your spouse has a bad habit, maybe things have been a little rocky, or maybe they recently did something that pissed you off.  I’m not saying my husband is perfect.  He’s definitely not.  But neither am I.  However, he is a good man.  His imperfections are part of why I love him so much.

I know that things in your relationship may not be what you want them to be.  Maybe you are even experiencing a rough patch, and you aren’t sure what to do next.  Take some time this week to really think about why you married your spouse.  Take a moment to reflect on all the qualities that you are thankful for.  They say when we start to lose sight of what matters, expressing gratitude can help us regain focus.  May this Thanksgiving give you an opportunity to not just express gratitude, but regain focus.

Here are a few reasons why I am thankful for my husband.
  1. He gets me.  I’m a pretty easygoing person, but even with that, I can be hard to figure out.  This man has me figured out. He knows what I’m thinking before I even say it – even if it’s outrageous.
  2. He’s a good dad.  I feel like there are so many negative images out there about Black men being bad dads. Frankly, I’ve had enough.  Oh, how thankful I am that I have a man in my life who adores his children and shows them so every single day.
  3. He can cook.  Nothing beats a man that can hook up a tasty dish.  And not only does it taste good, but the presentation is even on point.  Where’s my plate?
  4. He’s very handy around the house.  I love to act like I can do everything on my own, and although I probably could if I had to, I don’t want to.  I am so grateful for a man that fixes things, mows the lawn and keeps our house in tip-top shape.

The 10 Phrases To Avoid Saying To Your Man

To you, it's just a few words. To him, it's a short sentence that he'll never, ever forget. Here, the seemingly innocent observations that can really rock a relationship.

"I really don't respect you."
"My wife and I probably use the word 'respect' about as much as we use the word 'love.' Both words were in our wedding vows," says Dave, 36, about why the R-word is just as important to him as the L-word. "And when I hear that she doesn't respect me, it's almost like her saying she doesn't love me. Luckily, she's never said it-precisely because we had a whole conversation about how we'll never throw around that word like that."

Your tummy is so cute!
"Please, call it what it is-a beer gut!" jokes Chad, 38. All kidding aside, the men we spoke with said that they have the same body image issues as women, which means that making fun of him when he's gained a few will make him feel insecure too.

"I love when you get all mad."
Is he fuming because he's behind a car that's oh-so-annoyingly crawling along in the left lane? Sure, it's fine to make a joke, but Jeff, 40, suggests making it at the other driver's expense. "I know I can get worked up about minor stuff, but when I hear this, I feel like it's harder to be honest about my feelings when it comes to things that really matter to me, because I'm worried she's going to shoot me down."

"He acts like such a baby when his team loses."
"This is something I've overheard my wife say on the phone to her friends," says Charles, 38. "I know she's talking about me, but she uses the same voice she uses when she's talking about our 3-year-old having a temper tantrum." While no one likes to be talked about behind their back, guys are especially sensitive to lack of loyalty. Yes, the way he freaks out when his team blows a playoff game is funny-but if he's not laughing, it's best to keep it on the DL, at least while your husband is in earshot. There's another reason: "When I hear her talking about me to her friends when she thinks I'm not listening, I can't help but wonder what else she may talk about."

Mariah Carey Says No more Babies Unless Husband Nick Cannon Can Get Pregnant

Mother of two Mariah Carey says she's done having kids and if her husband Nick Cannon wants more children, he will have to get pregnant and have the babies himself.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the 44 year old singer was asked by a fan caller whether or not she and Nick were planning to have more children...

"If Nick could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring 'em on. We love kids," Mariah answered. "Here's the thing: This is real. I'm responsible for the kids for like forever. I look at it like, they didn't ask for this lifestyle but here they are."
"To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience...You don't even know who you are. I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he's working. He's the hardest-working man in show business."

American Actor Suspended By Network Following Anti-Gay Remarks in GQ Magazine

We are truly at the end times. The double standard of the world is irritating. The article below is so disturbing considering how these lovers of sin are fast to shout about freedom of association, expression and speech. Meanwhile they just fired someone for expressing an opinion they hate to hear. God deliver us from these evil from the West. However you try to cover the truth, it remains the truth. And Truth they say is bitter. Phil has spoken the truth and though it has cost him a job, he is on the way to eternal glory. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. HTPB salutes your courage Phil Robertson.

On Wednesday afternoon, A&E, the cable network which airs "Duck Dynasty," suspended Phil Robertson indefinitely from filming, issuing the following statement: "We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series 'Duck Dynasty.' His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

GLAAD issued the following statement in response to A&E's decision, attributed to GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz: "What’s clear is that such hateful anti-gay comments are unacceptable to fans, viewers, and networks alike. By taking quick action and removing Robertson from future filming, A&E has sent a strong message that discrimination is neither a Christian nor an American value."

WARNING PARENTS! Caught on camera: chilling moment a 6yr old girl was led away by man who raped and killed her

This chilling photo below shows a 6 year old girl walking hand in hand with a man through the lobby of a skytrain station in Bangkok, Thailand, ten days ago. Her body was later found, raped & violently murdered.

According to Daily Mail UK, her disappearance sparked a 10-day manhunt which ended yesterday after her strangled and decomposing body was found in a deserted area near the city's Suklhumvit Soi 105. Within hours of the discovery police arrested the man in the pic following a tip-off.

The girl known simply as Nong Cartoon went with her father to go see a folk music concert, but when she became sleepy, her father took her to nap in his truck outside the venue around 10pm and returned to finish watching the show. By the time he came back 40mins later, the girl had vanished.

The man pictured with Nong is a 32 year old man named Nui, who was released from prison in August 2013 after serving three years and eight months for the abduction of a child under 15 years.

Joke Of The Day........ A Wife's Emotional Needs.

A man and his wife were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."

He said "WHAT??!! What was that?!" (Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed)

So she says, "You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to his puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" (Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed)

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, the man went to sleep.

Clarion Chukwura: My Bitter Experience When Shina Peters Impregnanted Me

Picture of Sir Shina Peters And Clarion Chukwura During Their Dating Period Decades Ago

And out of this love wan tin tin came Clarence Peters, the Music Video Director. Just saying ni o. Read Full Interview below.

For over 30 years, Clarion Chukwura has been doing what gives her joy and gladness. She’s been exhibiting her acting prowess on the stage and screen, and this has brought her fame and fortune. But for the Nollywood diva, life is not all bed of roses. Clarion has been rejected, betrayed and cast out as a slot. She has also swum in the river of failed marriages. At the end of the day, however, the delectable actress triumphed and came out stronger. Clarion says her driving force is her unshakable faith in God, and more importantly, her never-say-die spirit.

Hear her: “My driving force is first and foremost my faith in God. My faith in God is a very important aspect of me. I believe that whatever I set out to do if I commit it into the hands of God, it may take time to manifest, delay is not denial, I’m sure I will get there. I just need to be patient and persevere. Another thing is my never-say-die spirit. I am not a quitter because the alternative is not for me. I cannot live a life of nobody.”

In this exclusive interview with , Clarion bares it all, as she has never done before.

Could you tell us about your childhood?

I was born in Lagos and remained there till when I was 11 years old. From the age of 11 to 14, I stayed in Aba and Onitsha. I came to Ibadan when I was 14 and lived there till the age of 19. However, I lost my father at the age of 11. This incident completely shattered me. My father was the centre of my life and when he died, everything just fell apart. That was the beginning of a different chapter of my life. How did I cope? I coped by the special mercy of Almighty God. I coped by taking decisions. I coped by being driven by determination to succeed and I had my focus very early that I wanted to be an actress. I was five years old and my father was still alive when I decided that I wanted to be an actress. My father had a driver that used to take us to the cinemas. So, I was seeing all those 20th Century Fox movies and other legendary Hollywood movies that inspired me. I was also inspired by Michael Jackson and all those stuffs I used to watch on TV, when I was a kid.

Some people say you are fond of Michael Jackson. Is this true?

I was highly inspired by Michael Jackson. No, it isn’t necessary I go into music because Michael Jackson inspired me. When someone inspired you, it doesn’t mean that you must do what the person is doing. Michael was a kid but his showmanship was great. That’s what struck me. As an actress, it’s music that inspires me. I remember the movie, “Egg of Life;” it was music that gave me the inspiration for the character I played. The death of Michael Jackson was a personal loss to me. I took time to mourn him; that’s why I didn’t attend all the events that were held in his honour. I felt like I had lost a part of me.

WHAT CHANGED? Children vs Time, Sanity & Money

I grew up listening to stories of our fore fathers who had several kids. Then men used to beat their chests proudly because of the number of children they had. The children helped in the farms, with house chores, fetched water e.t.c. I can recall when I read ‘Things Fall Apart’ by Chinua Achebe; I fell in love with the idea of having a large family.  In Africa, one of the most celebrated occasions is a newborn’s naming ceremony and mothers take pride in going to stay with their daughters and daughters’ in-law to help raise their grand children at least for a year. The Igbo’s took pride in ‘OMUGO’ while the Yoruba’s ‘IKOMO’. Movies far back displayed families with lots of children running around in the yards; playing, singing, eating, e.t.c. There was hardly a movie without children and having lots of children were a priority.

Present day couple especially in Lagos, Nigeria will tell you they don’t want more than 2 children. It’s like 2 is in vogue now, it could be more than that when the couple have a particular sex and want the other. I recently heard a mum tell her daughter to have the number of children she can take care of conveniently without her help because she is still working. Movies today can run for hours without any kid in sight or will have no kid at all. What happens to the chores and the work front of the present day family? It looks like we found a solution for the chores, what about the work front? What about children taking over the empire built by their parents?

I’m usually excited when I come across couples that want to have a lot of children, one day a friend of mine mentioned that she wanted 7 kids and that she really loves kids and moreover her mum had loads of kids too, but after having just 2 kids her tune changed and she said herself and her husband have hung the boot. I said to her, what happened to the 5 children yearning to be born? Are we running away from the kids or are the kids running from us? If most of our parents stopped at 2 kids we won’t be here today. God said be fruitful and multiply. And also says’ blessed is a man that has a quiver full of children’.

I think that our generation likes to work things out logically; we are so thoughtful and that’s why we are committed to balancing nature since our fore fathers over populated it. LOL

What do you think really changed? What is our priority now as parents? Share with us.

Caught on CCTV: Mother calmly pushes her own child to her death

A 36 year old french mother named Fabienne Kabou, who felt her baby was 'incompatible' with her and boyfriend, strapped the little angel in a pram and calmly pushed her into a river. She faces life imprisonment after confessing she drowned her 15-month-old daughter in the English Channel because the child was 'incompatible' with her love life.

CCTV footage has emerged of Fabienne Kabou, 36, from Senegal, pushing little Adelaide to the coast of Berck sur Mer on November 19. The next day, Adelaide was found dead, strapped in a pushchair submerged in the water, by a fisherman.
After ten days of searching nationwide, police used DNA from the pram to trace Ms Kabou to the home she shares with a 63-year-old man in Paris, where she was arrested.
Ms Kabou, a philosophy student, told police she took the drastic move after deciding motherhood was 'incompatible' with her love life with Adelaide's father. The case has sparked outrage as hundreds took to the streets outside the court and on the coast in a White March - a French style of demonstrating against child cruelty.

Ms Kabou had told her boyfriend, a sculptor, that she had handed over the little girl to her grandmother who had agreed to look after her in Senegal, police claim. On Saturday, Kabou was taken under Police guard to Boulogne sur Mer and questioned for four hours by an examining judge in a closed court session.

Before You Decide To Beat That Child, Read Why You Should Not

A simple internet search yields an abundance of thoroughly documented medical evidence, which unambiguously links the “punitive” beating of human beings to very severe and permanently debilitating injuries that range from blindness-inducing eye damage, to life-long paralysis of the legs, possible from SINGLE blunt-force cane impacts to the sciatic nerve, which runs close to the spine in the lower back, just beneath the skin. A research paper recently published by the Department of Ophthalmology, at the College of Health Sciences in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, cited a four-year study which concluded that an astonishing 30.3% of all eye injuries, presented at that hospital alone, by children aged between 5 and 15 years old, were DIRECTLY attributed to caning or whipping attacks that went horribly wrong, either in schools or at home.

From a purely medical standpoint, there is NO safe area of the human body suitable for assault with a stick or other blunt-force weapon. Just as easily as a cane-strike to the lower back carries the potential to inflict lifetime lower limb paralysis on the victim, an errant stick, whip or belt-buckle impact to the wrist is equally liable to fracture, deform or displace the delicate wrist carpal bones that articulate within very tight tolerances, thus degrading forever the wrist’s flexibility and range of motion. Caning the hands of a student, such that permanent bone injury and loss of flexibility to the hands results, would effectively END whatever aspirations the victim may have held of becoming a surgeon later in life. The disastrous effects of losing one’s sight or mobility to a caning incident would be no less life-destroying, and require no elaboration.

Teacher Flogs Female Pupil To Death In Ondo State, Nigeria

Detectives in Ondo State have detained a primary school teacher, Alade Adebayo, for allegedly flogging to death a four-year-old female pupil Elizabeth Wanogha. The deceased pupil was a student of a private primary school, Falaye Memorial Nursery and Primary School, located at Fanibi area in Akure metropolis.

The  teacher, according to report, accused the deceased of being stubborn in the class. He was said to have beaten the girl to a state of coma. Cries from other pupils in the class reportedly attracted other teachers who rushed to the scene where they found that the girl had fainted. She was said to have been rushed to a private hospital and was admitted but reportedly died later. Police authorities, however, said that the pupil died two weeks after the beating by the suspect.

The father of the deceased, Mr Wanogha lodged a complaint at the Fanibi Police station, alleging that his daughter died  as a result of the injuries sustained from the severe beating by her teacher. Following the complaint, the teacher was arrested for interrogation. Contacted, the Police image maker, Wole Ogodo, confirmed that the teacher had been arrested. Ogodo however said that people should not jump into conclusion that it was the beating which took place about two weeks earlier that led to the death of the pupil.

Former kid pop star Aaron Carter, 25, files for bankruptcy

Having a famous name doesn't always mean there's money in the bank. Former kid pop star Aaron Carter, 25, has filed for bankruptcy, claiming to have tax and credit debts exceeding $3.5 million while possessing just $8,232.16 in assets — just $977.16 of that in accessible cash!

Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, says in his court filing, dated Oct. 23, that he owes $2,204,654 to creditors, including a $1,307,648 income tax debt to the IRS, and a $31,166 American Express bill.

"Aaron filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection to alleviate past issues in an effort to move forward with his life and career," his rep tells omg! in a statement. "The overwhelming majority of the debt he is asking to be discharged is from more than 10 years ago when he was a minor and not in control of his finances.” Chapter 7 is the most aggressive form of bankruptcy, requiring liquidation of most assets, and absolving the petitioner of the bills they owe (aka creditors will not recover the funds). The big downside is that a filing for Chapter 7 will stay on one's credit report for 10 years.
Carter's finances were handled by his parents: his dad acted as business manager, and mother was his manager. As Aaron told it earlier this year: "There was lot's of money made, hundreds of millions of dollars." But, eventually problems arose between the singer and his folks about where that money was going. "When I was 13-14, I started paying attention to what my mom and dad were doing [with my money], and I wanted to know about stuff. I started getting familiar about taxes. ... I was becoming very inquisitive and my parents didn't like that." He eventually cut business ties with his parents.

Aldi Rizal became an international media sensation when he was discovered in a poor village in Sumatra, Indonesia, puffing on a cigarette while riding his tricycle. Aldi was a chain smoker at just 2 years old. And his parents let him.

Good news is that Aldi, who is now five years old, has kicked the bad habit. He was taken for play therapy sessions in Jakarta for two weeks to take his mind off his chain-smoking habit and learn to be a normal toddler for the first time. It worked. Aldi no longer smokes. Divorce Alert! Pray Together and Stay Together.

Most of the Christian couples that I know do not pray together. I know one Christian brother who flat out refuses to pray together with his wife. He says he prays by himself, but he won't pray together with his wife. Praying with his wife makes him feel too uncomfortable, so he won't pray with her. I hate to say it, but his views are not uncommon. Very few Christian couples actually take the time to pray together. Pollster George Barna recently reported his findings from interviews with 3,142 randomly selected adults, 1,220 of whom were born-again Christians. Here are the results of his poll:
  • Of those who are non-Christian, 23% have seen their marriage go through the devastation of a divorce.
  • 27% of those who call themselves born-again Christians have been divorced. (That makes the divorce rate higher among Christians than non-Christians.)
  • Of those who label themselves “Fundamentalist Christians,” 30% have experienced a divorce.
FamilyLife has surveyed of thousands of Christian couples and found that less than 8% pray together on a regular basis. That is a shockingly low percentage. However, according to a poll on Christian couples who actively pray together, the divorce rate is less than one percent. Less than one percent! This begs the question: How often do you pray with your spouse? Don't include the mealtime blessing, that doesn't count. The response to the question is enlightening because most couples very rarely pray together, with the exception of the mealtime blessing. So why don't we pray with our spouses? I think it is because we just don't realize the importance of prayer to our marital relationship. Most people acknowledge that prayer is very important to them but they simply fail to do it on any regular basis. The fact of the matter is that if we don't pray very much, then prayer is really not very important to us.

Which do you believe?
1. Prayer important to your relationship with your spouse.
2. Prayer is just a formality at mealtimes.

Do you believe that prayer has any real effect on the depth of companionship within your marriage? In reality, whatever you actually do at present in your home is the clearest revelation of what you truly believe regarding prayer. You may say that prayer is important to your relationship with your spouse, but if you are not doing it, then it is not important to you. When I talk about praying with your spouse, I'm talking about the two of you sitting down together, holding hands, and seriously praying. You need to pray together daily if possible, in a place and time when you won't have distractions. You may be wondering just why prayer is so important to couples.

Boy, 3, Murdered After He Wet The Bed

A man has been found guilty of murdering his partner's three-year-old nephew after the child wet the bed they were sharing. Ben Igbinedion, 44, inflicted "catastrophic" injuries upon Daniel Evbuomwan that were so severe they were likened to those caused by a car crash. Igbinedion, of Bromley, south London, had put Daniel back to sleep in a different bed but when family members tried to wake him in the morning he did not respond.

The youngster suffered multiple injuries to his ribs and multiple fractures to his pelvis. They were described by Professor Anthony Risdon, who carried out a post-mortem examination as "among the most severe he had seen". Daniel had been living with his grandmother Rosemary since earlier this year and was in normal physical health but all that dramatically changed when he went to stay with Igbinedion and his family in March, the court heard. Fascinating Story Of Girl Impregnanted at 18, Mom At 19 And Best Graduating Student At 25

Seven years after an unwanted pregnancy forced her to drop out of the University of Ilorin, Aishat Farooq emerges the best graduating student of the Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State.
When Aishat Farooq gained admission into the University of Ilorin at 15, to study Zoology, little did she know that she was not going to be an alumnus of the institution. That was in 2003.

Despite the fact that she was a high flyer in her first two years in UNILORIN, the now 25-year-old indigene of Ilorin West-Local Government Area of Kwara State got distracted along the line. She played the campus love game and got a shocking result: she got pregnant. It was in 2006 and in her third year. She was pregnant for a fellow student whom she had been dating. She was disappointed in herself and thought the whole world was crashing on her.  Yet, she vowed not to terminate the pregnancy.

Although she wanted to continue her studies in the university,  she became disillusioned and dropped out at 18. She sought consolation in trading. But her father, Mr. Shehu Farooq, who believed that his daughter’s academic prowess should not be wasted,  was determined to get her back on the academic track. Today, Aishat has a different story to tell. On Saturday, she stood tall among her peers at the 5th convocation ceremony of Bells University, Ota, Ogun State,  where she emerged the overall best graduating student with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.93.

“The rebel in me won,” she declared while giving the valedictory address on behalf of the 208 graduating students of the university. “I hope my story will inspire at least one person to change his or her circumstance. I was pregnant at 18 and by 19 I was already a mother. I had disappointed my father who believed so much in me. He had such big dreams for me and feared the dreams would become unfulfilled,” she added.

Breaking the news of the pregnancy to her father,  who was at the time based in the northern part of the country, was not easy. Aishat’s mother, Fatima, who stayed in Lagos with the family, did not break the “sad news” to the man until the lady was almost due. The mum feared her husband would be too angry. Fatima narrated to our correspondent, “Looking back, we knew her to be very brilliant. But all of a sudden she got pregnant. Though her father and I were always discussing on the telephone, I hid it from him. Whenever he said he would  be coming to Lagos to visit us, I  would quickly chip it in that I would  like to be the one to visit. So, I ensured I was the one always visiting him.

Enugu state First Lady begs human rights groups to release her from house arrest imposed by her husband

Clara Chime, the First Lady of Enugu State, says Gov. Sullivan Chime, has placed her under house arrest, and has cried out for assistance to human rights bodies to rescue her.
In a letter dripping with pain and suffering, Mrs. Chime (pictured above with Governor Chime) disclosed that she married Mr. Chime in Oct. 2008 but that she has been unable to share the matrimonial bed with him for over four years. Describing her desperate situation, she said that even President Goodluck Jonathan and First Lady Patience Jonathan have intervened with her husband without success.
“My father is late, my Mum and few of my siblings are confused and have done all kinds of prayers they know of, 3 of my siblings prefers me dead than to see me leave the Government house.  He treats my Mum and my siblings bad,” she wrote.

The Enugu State First Lady said she has been introduced to two psychiatrists whose names she gave as Dr. Onwukwe and Dr. Agumo, who have prescribed “all kinds of drugs that ends up keeping me acute depressed and also drives me into hallucinations.”

The doctors, she noted, are scared of her husband the Governor, to whom nobody can tell the truth.
According to the letter, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu state (Callistus Onaga), and top priests have come to intervene, as have the President and the First Lady of the nation, without success. Mrs. Chime further complains that Governor Chime has ordered her to leave with her four-year old son whom she conceived before their wedding.  However, the governor, according to her, later threatened to disown the boy should she leave with him.

Raising Godly Children.............Christ Embassy's Children Church

Christ Embassy's Children Church is our wonderful feature on this week's edition of Raising Godly Children. I am blown away by their passion for children and i am sure readers will learn a lot too.

The Christ Embassy children's church is based on Proverbs 22: 6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. According to them, life is full of choices which could make it very confusing and difficult for children to deal with. Children are taught how to work and use the word of God in every situation of life. They teach the children how to live life according to the word of God. Jesus said in John 8:12, Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life

The class runs for at least an hour and they sing, dance and have a laugh. They have different age groups ranging from 2years to 12years. They share scriptures from the bible about the mighty men and women in the bible and also look at what challenges they faced in life and how they used the word of God to overcome them. There is always a segment were children share testimonies and even ask questions. 1 Corinthians 3:11  says, For what other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Hence the focus at the children church is to lay a foundation of Christ in the children.

As the children go into the world, the teachers have the confidence that they will became a success no matter what is going on around them.

Daystar Donates Ultra-Modern 10 Cubicle Toilet Facility to Ajao Estate Junior High School, Lagos

When it comes to community development, Daystar Christian Centre never rest on her oars as this remains one of the guiding principles and commitments of the church. This explains why, on Friday 25th October 2013, another developmental project was commissioned by the District 4 arm of Daystar Christian Centre, and the newly built ultra-modern ten cubicles toilet block was handed over to Ajao Estate Junior High School, a public school located at Anthony Village, Lagos.

Officially commissioned by Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Barrister Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, the toilet construction project was carried out to help resolve the challenges of the students and staff of Ajao Estate Junior High School, which had to do with lack of toilet facilities.
According to Mrs. Apata, former principal of the school,“Before now, the school used to have a dilapidated pit latrine toilet which, overtime, became very dangerous to the students, mandating the school authority to close it up, due to deteriorating effects caused by erosion. Since then, the students and staff have nowhere to use as toilet facility until we took it to the attention of Daystar Christian Centre. I so much love the beautiful structure and pray God continues to bless Daystar as a whole”

In appreciation of Daystar Christian Centre, the representative of the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Brila, applauded the church for extending a hand of love. “We so much appreciate Daystar for supporting the government in meeting such crucial need and touching the lives of our future leaders, as the government can’t do it alone. Personally, this is just one of the numerous community projects I have seen Daystar execute successfully. This toilet standard is world-class and I implore the school authority to maintain it well,” she spelled out enthusiastically

While handing over the facility keys to the school, the senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, ably represented by Pastor Kenny Folarin said the standard of the building was purposeful to help the students dream of a better tomorrow. “As a church dedicated to raising role models, we have done this because we strongly believe that these children are the answers to our prayers for the future of this nation.” He also said informed all that the toilet structure includes special design to cater for the physically challenged. The excited students also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the church for coming to their aid when it was most needed. They also promised to maintain and take good care of their new toilet facility.
