Chrisland Schools Award N27m Scholarship to Pupils

Christland Schools have awarded scholarship worth N27 million to six pupils, who came tops at the annual entrance examination that held earlier in the year.

The award, solely sponsored by the Chairman and Founder, Chrisland Schools Limited, Dr.Winifred Awosika, will last for six years and will cover their secondary education.

According to a close source of the school, each full time awardees would cost the school about N6 million and three of them would cost N18 million, while the other three pupils would take 50 per cent of the bill, which would cost N9 million.

The Lucky recipients of this year’s scholarship are: Okoko Essien from Straitgate School, who bagged the full scholarship into Chrisland College, Idimu, Master Owobu Allen Omongidale from Chrisland School, VGC on half scholarship and Miss. Akinnola Olukemi, also from Chrisland School, VGC, also on half scholarship.
Others are; Master Ponle Bello from Chrisland School, Ladipo Oluwole

, who bagged the full scholarship, Miss. Funnaya Okey-Ilo on half scholarship, from Chrisland School, Opebi and Aduwari Anthony also of Chrisland School, VGC, who also bagged a full scholarship.

In the colorful and memorable event, which had the parents of the receipts present, certificates were presented to each of the pupils with the Principals  and Vice Principals of Chrisland High School, Ikeja, Chrisland High School, VGC and Chrisland College, Idimu formally receiving each child to their respective schools.

This year’s scholarship ceremony was the first of its kind. The Managing Director, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, while addressing the pupils and all present said Chrisland School has pledged to make the presentation of wards an annual affair, that is; living up the dream and vision of The Chairman/Founder, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika.

The Managing Director, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, alongside the Director of Administration, Mrs. Anike Oye, were joined by Professor C.D Jacobs, The Director of Studies, Mrs. Maduabuchi-David, Head, Quality Assurance Unit, Mr. IYke Igili, Head, Special Duties, Mr. Sotunde (compere),Head, Exams, Test and Academic Records, Mrs. Esekody, Head teacher, Chrisland School, Ladipo Oluwole, Mrs. Amao, Head Teacher, Chrisland School Opebi, Mrs. Azike, Head Teacher Chrisland School, VGC, Dr. Oboye, Principal, Chrisland College, Idimu, Mrs. Enemuo, Vice Principal Chrisland College, Idimu.
