SCHOOL OF THE WEEK.

Honeyland is a world class co-educational institution comprising of Creche, Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools.

The Schools were established in August 2006 with the aim of providing the best environment to raise a selected group of world impactors as entrenched in our mission statement:

To provide the best environment for balanced educational experiences aimed at attracting children from nations and returning leaders to nations.

Honeyland is unique for:
  • The fear of God
  • Attractive and conducive environment for learning
  • Well motivated, experienced and dedicated staff,
  • Broad based curriculum;
  • Proper supervision and care of children;
  • Prompt responsiveness to the needs of children, parents and staff;
  • Professionalism in all ramifications
  • Vibrant co-curricular activities
  • Well stocked Library with modern books for students’ use;
  • Good maintenance culture.

CURRICULUM:
The schools run academic curricula, which are in strict compliance with the State and National Policies on Education.

Our preschool pupils are prepared using the Montessori tools to achieve a balanced development in the psychomotor, cognitive and affective domains of learning.

Our basic classes run the Universal Basic Education scheme to prepare children for the upper basic (Junior Secondary Certificate) examinations by the State Ministry of Education and National Examination Council Commission (NECO).

Students in senior secondary classes are prepared for Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) by WAEC and NECO, the Cambridge GEC O’ Level examinations, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (American SAT) and Test of English as a foreign Language (TOEFL) Examinations. It gives them the advantage of getting admission into any institution of their choice locally or internationally.

ATTENDANCE:

Because we use the best of child care techniques, with trained staff and we make learning a load of fun, our students/pupils find school too attractive to miss each day.  The absence of a student is immediately checked up on phone and may be followed up with a visit, if need be.

HOME WORK:
Assignments are sacred, so we incorporate guardian assistance and monitoring alongside teachers efforts at getting them done. Each one is targeted at making the child gain knowledge that is both academic and sociologically functional.

ASSESSMENT/EXAMINATION:
Students’ assessment combines class work, homework, special projects, term paper, test, excursion, special research, presentation and defence of project and examination.
